Im Zentrum der folgenden Untersuchungen stehen Symbolsequenzen oder allgemeiner lineare Strukturen. Die Anbindung an das Gebiet der Informationstheorie erfolgt durch Betrachtung der Symbolsequenzen als kodierte Nachrichten in einem Kommunikationsprozeß.
