Zusammenfassung

„Controller müssen Abteilungsgrenzen überwinden“ (Horváth (1996), S. 869), Supply Chain Manager hingegen überwinden Unternehmensgrenzen. Beim Konzept des Supply Chain Management handelt es sich um eine gemeinschaftliche Ausrichtung von Geschäftsprozessen zwischen mehreren Partnern in einer Versorgungskette mit dem Ziel, die Gesamtkosten innerhalb der Supply Chain zu senken und gleichzeitig das Serviceniveau für alle Supply Chain Beteiligten zu heben. Es geht dabei um eine kundengesteuerte, unternehmensübergreifende Harmonisierung von Waren- und dazugehörigen Informationsflüssen, welche durch eine gemeinschaftliche Festlegung einer Netzwerkstruktur, von Managementkomponenten (=Zielanweisungen) und von Geschäftsprozessen gelingen soll.
