Es ist noch gar nicht so lange her, daß man Computer in speziellen, vollklimatisierten Räumen aufstellen mußte, um Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit konstant halten zu können. Heutige Personal Computer können problemlos an fast jedem Arbeitsplatz installiert werden; sie benötigen nur etwas mehr Pflege als andere elektronische Geräte, wie zum Beispiel ein Videorecorder.
