Zusammenfassung
In diesem Kapitel werden wir uns mit den Eigenschaften der ferrimagnetischen Oxide befassen, die mit der Wechselwirkung mit elektrischen Feldern zusammenhängen. Während wir uns bei der Analyse und der Beschreibung der magnetischen Eigenschaften auf ein reiches Versuchsmaterial und mehr oder weniger vollständige Ergebnisse einer weitverzweigten theoretischen Forschung stützen konnten, müssen wir uns hier mit unverhältnismäßig ärmeren Versuchsergebnissen zufrieden geben und uns mit theoretischen Vorstellungen befassen, die erst in neuester Zeit genauere und definitive Formen annehmen. Diese Tatsachen sowie der Umstand, daß eine eingehendere Beschreibung der gegenwärtigen Theorien einen verhältnismäßig großen Hilfsapparat erfordern würde, dessen Entwicklung den Rahmen dieses Buches bedeutend überschreiten würde, haben eine gewisse Änderung in der Behandlung des Stoffes erzwungen. Obwohl wir auch hier dem Grundsatz treu bleiben wollen, vor allem grundlegende physikalische Gesetzmäßigkeiten und Konzeptionen zu behandeln, die die Eigenschaften der untersuchten Stoffe von einem einheitlichen Gesichtspunkt aus erklären, werden wir uns dennoch überall dort, wo der Mangel an Versuchsergebnissen oder die Unklarheit des Ursprunges der beobachteten Effekte uns ein tieferes Eindringen nicht gestatten, mit einer mehr oder weniger beschreibenden Form begnügen müssen.
