Zusammenfassung
Die streß-abschwächende Wirkung des Aminoalkohols Monoethanolamin (Colamin, 2-Aminoethanol) und seines Metaboliten Cholin ist durch Untersuchungen an mehreren Pflanzenarten belegt (Fujii et al., 1972; Horvath und Van Hasselt, 1985; Eckert, 1988; Bergmann, 1989; Wejnar, 1989; Bergmann und Eckert, 1990). Glycinbetain als Endprodukt des Abbaus von Monoethanolamin wird durch Pflanzen bei Wassermangel akkumuliert.
