Zusammenfassung
Bevor sich im weiteren Verlauf dieser Arbeit den Motiven für Direktinvestitionen im Ausland empirisch genähert werden soll, mag es zweckmäßig sein, zunächst einen Überblick zu gewinnen über Aussagen, welche die theoretische Literatur in diesem Zusammenhang bislang getroffen hat. Zur Erklärung, warum Direktinvestitionen im Ausland vorgenommen werden, ist eine Vielzahl theoretischer Ansätze entwickelt worden. Diese lassen sich drei Hauptdenkrichtungen zuordnen.
