Zusammenfassung
Paper-to-Web ist ein System, das im Bereich der Formularverarbeitung die Vorteile der Integration einfacher Endgeräte in flexible Informationsinfrastrukturen aufzeigt. Das System erweitert das CrossPad, einen digitalen Notizblock für weitgehend unstrukturierte Erfassung von Notizen und Skizzen, um Komponenten für die formularbasierte Datenerfassung, und integriert es mit dem World-Wide Web. Auf dieser Basis können Web-Formulare mit Papier und Stift ausgefüllt und für den Nutzer transparent zur Weiterverarbeitung an einen Server übertragen werden. Paper-to-Web zeigt exemplarisch, wie Mensch-Computer-Schnittstellen im übertragenen Sinne unsichtbar werden, wenn bekannte Artefakte — hier Papier und Stift — als Interaktionsobjekte dienen.
