Abstract
Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) has long been used in the treatment of chronic pain. With the evolving knowledge of pain management, practitioners have been able to combat many forms of pain with SCS. Oncologic pain has been an increasing area of study with many patients benefiting from early implantation of SCS. However, due to the many concerns that arise with oncologic diagnoses, practitioners may be hesitant toward implantation in this population. The goal of this section is to highlight the many benefits of SCS use in patients with cancer and address common concerns that are present in oncologic population.
