Abstract

By the end of this chapter students should be able to:

• explain the term iteration;

• repeat a section of code with a for loop ;

• repeat a section of code with a while loop ;

• repeat a section of code with a do…while loop ;

• select the most appropriate loop for a particular task;

• use a break statement to terminate a loop;

• use a continue statement to skip an iteration of a loop;

• explain the term input validation and write simple validation routines.
