Abstract

A comprehensive approach to the treatment of chronic pain involves addressing its psychological components. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is one method that focuses on how thoughts influence feelings and behaviors. This chapter will discuss key features of cognitive-behavioral therapy as well as highlight some common self-management interventions.
