Abstract
The article focuses on issues related to traffic calming in historic urban areas. The paper presents the changes proposed in Poznań which were subsequently implemented in the PTV VISUM simulation environment. Consequently, conclusions were drawn concerning traffic timetables and modal split. The project was completed with a set of additional recommendations.
