Abstract
Acalculous cholecystitis often is noted in critically ill patients and characterized by inflammation of the gallbladder (GB) in the absence of stones. Treatment options include a laparoscopic cholecystectomy (if clinically stable), or percutaneous cholecystostomy would be another option.
