Abstract
The sea beneath Sarandib was deeper than at the more southerly Thera site, but Tony thought the Atlantis West service elevator seemed more capable that its counterpart at the other settlement. Perhaps the trip would not be so long. The lift’s speed rose to a quiet scream as they dropped through the black waters. Unlike the descent at Thera, they had to guess what was going on outside. The functional elevator was strictly business with no windows, and that made things a bit claustrophobic.
