Abstract
We consider the magnetic field induced Bose-condensation of bosonic particles with spin 1/2. We derive properties of the condensate in both two and three dimensions, focusing on mode dispersions, phase boundaries, and critical indices. We find that the unusual condensate supports a Goldstone mode with quadratic dispersion, and this provides a “smoking gun” criterion for searches of the novel phase of matter.
