Abstract
This chapter begins with a discussion of the connections between systemic change and critical pedagogy. It presents the motivations behind the research project in Nepal and reviews many of the book’s key terms and concepts such as praxis, conscientization, participatory video, participatory action research, and hidden transcripts, among others. This chapter highlights the objectives, audience, and significance of the study, in addition to some delimitations. Finally, readers are presented with the overall outline of the book so that they can anticipate what follows.
