Abstract
This chapter reviews research on media and technology use among families who have recently migrated. Specifically, the chapter explores the ways that communication technologies have facilitated migration, how families utilize communication technologies as they navigate relationships in the contexts of migration, how parents navigate digital risks and opportunities for their children, and how the techno-social environment of social media platforms is shaping family relations and family communication. A discussion of future directions for research in this area concludes the chapter.
