Abstract
The penultimate chapter outlines specific pastoral issues unique to the UK and USA, as these impact on visibility and acceptance of bisexual people in the Church. The split in the global Anglican Communion over homosexuality and same-sex marriage is summarised as an influential factor in the erasure of bisexuality from conversations on human sexuality. In the United States, a general prudery around sex and sexuality is highlighted, as well as the emphasis on transgender issues over the recent spate of Bathroom Bills in North Carolina and elsewhere. This focus on non-binary gender identities serves both an inhibitor and a precursor to dialogue on bisexuality.
