Abstract

The authors give an overview of the findings of their study and highlight the contributions of the study, emphasising the role and prominence of psychological empowerment in organizations—particularly service organizations where the employees have close contact with the customers. The mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between psychological empowerment and job-related stress is also accentuated. The implications and limitations of the current study are identified, and suggestions for further research are discussed.
