Abstract
The purpose of this chapter is to describe the cervical approach from C2 to T1 and the surgical technique to perform a safe corporectomy and fusion.
It includes details from patient positioning to surgical tips and pitfalls for every step.
Indications include degenerative pathologies such as cervical myelopathy, cervical radiculopathy, and cervical herniated disc and also specific types of cervical trauma, tumor, and infection. This technique is safe and allows various types of corporectomy, from partial to multilevel corporectomy.
