Abstract

Various healthcare systems have developed around the world, which tend to follow some general patterns. They all use, to a larger or smaller extent, elements of The Bismarck model and The Beveridge Model . In contrast to the two models, the out-of-pocket model represents another possible approach, which however, does not embrace an intention toward universal coverage.
