Abstract
This chapter includes eight case studies of the difficulties faced by a carefully selected set of successful entrepreneurs who share stories about their worst mistakes. Each talks about one or more of the eight mistakes presented in Chap. 3, as described by founders with very different personalities and styles. These entrepreneurs come from diverse cultural backgrounds, work in different industries, and deal with a wide range of investor characters, partner traits, and types of negotiators. Each case begins with an excerpt from the entrepreneur’s interview in their own words, followed by a diagnosis, a collection of relevant research findings, and implications for practical action in similar situations. The most important thing to note is that these entrepreneurs are reflective individuals, willing to share their entrepreneurial adventuress and negotiation failures so that others can benefit.
