Abstract
Production related or integrated inspection of workpiece geometry is becoming increasingly relevant in modern production processes. To draw the correct conclusions for production control, the workpiece geometry has to be captured as completely as possible. Coordinate metrology with optical sensors and multisensor systems as well as coordinate metrology with X-ray computed tomography is therefore especially suited for this application. Measurement times of a few seconds can be achieved with modern technology, even with X-ray computed tomography. Thus the technology is able to follow production cycle times.
