Abstract
In a globalized world, natural, accidental catastrophes and several devastating terroristic events destroyed our perceived social security, thus stimulating the European Community to issue a specific directive in 2008 obliging every member country to appoint the Security Liaison Officers (SLOs) skilled to assess critical infrastructures in all regions. The ISSMMdelta Master, born in 2015, is the only multidisciplinary European academic course currently available aiming at creating SLOs. Six attendees from various backgrounds (five females and one male, two deaf-and-dumb persons, 34-year-median) attended the first ongoing academic year. Facilitators: attendees’ enthusiasm in multidisciplinary activities (95% participation). Barriers include location, fundraising, overwhelming organizing teacher, and secretary needs. Future developments include pertinent research projects stimulating cultural-social-economic territorial resources and educating new researchers to global security.
