Neuroradiological Imaging of Skin Diseases and Related Conditions

Abstract

Skin is the largest organ in the body and has an intricate structure that serves multiple important functions. The histology, imaging modalities, and normal anatomy of skin are reviewed in this chapter, along with basic dermatology terminology. Familiarity with the histology and anatomy of skin are important for understanding the corresponding imaging abnormalities discussed in subsequent chapters.
