Abstract
In our daily lives, we may face three kinds of situations: win–win, win–lose, or lose–lose. Social Information Technologies can help us make the best out of these. They can filter and integrate information for us in real-time, and make it understandable for us, thereby turning raw data into useful information and actionable knowledge. A Social Mirror, for example, could improve our awareness of opportunities and risks related to our possible decisions and actions, while a Social Adapter could support our coordination with people having different interests and backgrounds, empowering us to interact and collaborate successfully.
