Abstract
In the southwest of the isle with its little colorful houses, a panoramic view of ice capped mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, Reykjavík marks the capital of Iceland. The Tjörnin Lake splits the capital in half. Its East is characterized by Hallgrímskirkja, a white concrete church. Its West is marked by the university: Háskóli Ísland and museums such as the Icelandic National Museum.
