Abstract
The introduction provides both the context in which this book came to be and an overview of each of the book’s four sections and each chapter. Contextually, we examine the personal, political, and cultural events that brought the three editors together and shaped this project’s emphasis on women’s narratives and experiences in higher education. Importantly, the introduction notes how those contexts inform our discussion of and emphasis on intersectionality throughout the edited volume. In each overview, we discuss the primary content and goals of each section and then provide a brief discussion of the threads that connect the chapters and the content of the individual chapter narratives.
