Abstract
Energy and water are systems, and they operate within systems inside the organization. Building on the major points presented earlier, this chapter describes different ways to use strategic connections from the first block in the Strategic Energy Effectiveness Framework (SEE), the organization’s value or purpose, as a basis for understanding and reducing energy and water costs in ways that are consonant with that value and purpose. This chapter focuses on enterprises as systems, with energy and water as major components.
