Abstract
Servant leadership has been developed and applied in the midst of a very hot economic climate and in the context of an abundance of new leadership research in general. As a result, there are many new ideas to which to compare it for developing the fine nuances of the theory. However, the negative side is that it gets confused with other theories with some similarities. Nevertheless, this model of leadership is growing into new areas where it is followed in different contexts including businesses, education, agencies, and churches. Many organizations have developed success, while promoting and doing servant leadership on a broad scale. It is beginning to grow on a global scale, while researchers and practitioners are looking for new ways for this model to adapt to these new contexts. This model is becoming recognized as an effective model for leadership in many diverse contexts including global and business contexts. There is growing evidence for the effectiveness of this model of leadership. In addition, there is a growing need for more research and practical application of this model in the current context.
