Abstract
The methods used by a teacher to improve the learning process, allow applying techniques that analyze the interrelations in small groups and in this way, overcome the weaknesses generated by the lack of group dynamism. In this article, the objective was to know the interrelations generated by popularity, authority, positive leadership and the complement that is the grouping of different people. For this purpose, an online sociometric test was applied to 93 students of the Business Administration Career from Peninsula de Santa Elena University-Ecuador, using a software called sociometric classroom to analyze the results. The results showed that empathy and sympathy are drivers of the searching for improvement in a group sub-structures. On the other hand, the test allowed the selection of leaders, who were students with a greater number of votes, popularity and a high academic performance.
