Introduction to Giftedness in Lebanon

Abstract

This chapter provides the background to the research and practices regarding giftedness in Lebanon. Consequently, this chapter will present the current definitions of giftedness according to research and theory and will shed light on existing identification practices and programs used in Lebanon as reported in the research. It will discuss the status of gifted education in Lebanon, existing challenges, and future opportunities.
