Abstract
Lower face is a complex area to aesthetically improve. For young adults, the primary focus is to make their lower face shape to a smooth, oval shape. Underdeveloped, retruded chin, along with hyperfunctional mentalis muscles, can be elegantly corrected using injectable fillers plus botulinum toxin injections. What is important in the chin augmentation is the choice of a filler product. Chin is a very compact, dense area. Fillers with higher elasticity are recommended. It is very important not to forget to correct the prejowl area together with the chin for natural look. Both sharp needles and blunt-tip cannulas can be used with the preference of the injector. Injected fillers can also migrate more in the lax, older lower face. Vascular compromise is rare after chin filler injection, but bruise occurs frequently.
