Abstract
The eyelids are an important cosmetic unit of the face. With aging, changes in this region are early observed. Excess skin and fat prolapsing through the orbital septum contribute to a tired and aged look of the eyes and face.
Blepharoplasty is a safe procedure that can be performed with local anesthesia. It allows rejuvenation of the eye region and can be associated with other aesthetic procedures.
The indications, operative techniques, and complications of the surgery will be discussed.
