Abstract
Introduced is the paleontological collection of the Roemer- and Pelizaeus-Museum, Hildesheim, Lower-Saxony, Germany. The main items are mainly composed of collections made in the nineteenth and early twentieth century. Most important is the material to the monographs of Friedrich Adolph Roemer’s works on the Oolithengebirge (Jurassic) and the Kreidegebirge (Cretaceous) of northern Germany and moreover to Alcide d’ Orbigny (1846).
