The authors pay special attention to the study of the processes of managing corporate intellectual resources (competences). They build the model of competence management in large high-tech corporation that allows putting in order all existing knowledge in the company. So executives will have information about all the competencies that may became core competencies and provide an innovative breakthrough of a company.
This chapter contains authors’ methodology of multi-criteria rating assessment of the efficiency of centers of innovation and competence transfer/using human potential. The proposed model can be integrated into the decision-making system about investing projects concerning development of new specific competencies. It can be also integrated into a complex automated knowledge management system of a company. This model should be used by companies in the process of implementing the strategy on entering new markets, as a tool to assess the impact of increasing investment in human capital on company competitiveness.
This chapter provides a concrete example of using the developed method in a real situation.
