Abstract
The Iron CALorimeter (ICAL) is one of the experiments in INO that utilize thousands of Resistive Plate Chambers as an active detector elements sandwiched between iron layers. These active detectors are used to detect muons produced from the charge current interaction of muon neutrino with the iron layers. The tracking of these muons will be done by analyzing signals from two-dimensional readout while timing response provides the upward and downward directionality. For designing the readout electronics for ICAL there is a need to understand induced charge profile for these detectors. In this paper, we present timing and induced charge profile of large size (1 m \(\times \) 1 m) glass RPC.
