Abstract
The following case studies are intended both to give a more concrete form to the argument of the preceding chapters and to further explore the multidimensional correlations between landscape and power. The concentration on German-speaking Central Europe will in this chapter yield to a wider perspective embracing the United States to the west and Poland to the east.
