Abstract
The study analyzes the repolonization process, directed at domestic banks, which becomes increasingly important in the state economic policy and the strategy of the National Bank of Poland. The main premise of the undertaken problem is a rapidly changing environment of banking sector in Poland and the world economy, especially in the Member States of the European Union. The main aim of the study is identification of the process, indication of its basic features, and finally determination of main motives of repolonization process of domestic banks.
