Abstract
A 72-year-old man presented with a Zone II open globe injury of the right eye due to accidental blunt trauma from turning into a cell phone quickly. The patient presented with hand motion vision and uveal prolapse through a scleral laceration 2 mm posterior to the limbus nasally. He underwent repair of the open globe injury followed by pars plana vitrectomy for vitreous hemorrhage with lensectomy and placement of a sulcus intraocular lens for a traumatic cataract. The patient ultimately achieved a visual acuity of 20/20 in the affected eye.
