Abstract
The definition of a plane stress element is summarized in Table 5.1. This four-node, isoparametric quadrilateral uses bilinear interpolation functions and the stiffness matrix is formed using four-point Gaussian integration. The node numbering must follow the scheme shown in Table 5.1.
