Abstract
The use of the advanced practice provider (APP) has significantly increased in recent years. Advantages are seen in many areas, most notably with respect to increased productivity, reimbursement, and physician flexibility. In the bariatric setting, APPs may improve patient satisfaction as well. APPs will play an important role in the care of the bariatric patient for the foreseeable future.
