Abstract
Manufacturing workshops floors are usually paved with ceramic tiles or painted with resin, which brings about strong specular reflection under sunlight or fluorescent lighting and is a serious disturbance for many actions based on machine vision, thus needs to be removed. However, prior arts focused mainly on weak specular reflection. To address the issues, we put forward a gradual chromaticity concept, separate weak specular reflection first, then reduce critical chromaticity value step by step and separate stronger specular reflection iteratively. Finally, we propose an inpainting approach for removing remainder highlight which still uses chromaticity constraint and operates in single pixel. The implement with the proposed method shows a quite improved result.
