Abstract

The LPN is required to be fiscally responsible through cost-effective approaches to the provision of care. While the LPN is not required to know finance or financial aspects of health care, knowledge regarding how payment is received and the role of the LPN in ensuring the appropriate payment is able to be billed and received is important. This chapter will provide an overview of how payment is billed and received and the role of the LPN related to fiscal responsibility especially related to documentation.
