Sustainable Energy Mix in Fragile Environments

Abstract

This research identifies the critical factors that affect the technology transfer of a low-cost biodigester to the Galapagos Island of San Cristobal. The research is based on a case study developed in the Chinese village of Jiudao Yakou. An economic analysis of the technology as well as on assessment of socioeconomic and environmental benefits in rural and fragile contexts.
