Abstract

Management of acute heart failure (AHF) is highly challenging. This lies in part in the complexity and heterogeneity of this possibly life-threatening clinical syndrome, but also in the urgent need for intervention to improve patient status and outcome.

This chapter will survey acute right and left ventricular heart failure with focus on therapy. Important features are displayed in the tables, and Suggested Reading can be found at the end of the chapter.
