Abstract
The form and the occlusal surface texture of the artificial teeth are designed to imitate the natural teeth. The height of alveolar ridge and volume of the tongue, cheek, and lip can alter the space available to place artificial teeth. Different types of artificial teeth are designed to increase the chewing ability and jaw movement’s rules. None of the posterior artificial teeth forms can be used without any occlusal modification on dentures. In this chapter, definitions, different types of materials used for tooth arrangement, the main principles for posterior tooth selection, and the basic rules of tooth arrangement are explained in complete denture cases.
