Abstract
The paper focuses on the presentation of the Binary Line Oriented Histogram (BLOH) algorithm, originating from the Edge Oriented Histogram (EOH). In the case of thin single-pixel lines, a problem related to the interpretation of the EOH bins may occur which can be eliminated using the proposed approach. The main goal of the conducted experimental tests, using both synthetic and natural images, is determining the proper histogram with dominating single-pixel lines of the specified orientation to the horizontal axis. The results of our tests fully confirm the usefulness of the proposed BLOH algorithm.
