Abstract

There was universal agreement among Robert’s friends that Charlotte Lowell was a monster mom, the prototype of the cruel tyrants from Nero to Stalin who fascinated him throughout his life. He was caught in Charlotte’s web and his relations with her were sometimes quite funny in a ghoulish sort of way.
