Abstract
In this chapter, we present an overview of the book. The chapters are contributions from a range of disciplines that examine the comparative situation of the youth employment market in different European countries. The first part focuses on aggregate analyses of different sets of countries, with a comparative perspective. The second part presents different approaches to the problems concerning the transition from education to work, such as employment stability, training, overeducation, etc. The third part focuses on policy options, especially on the Youth Guarantee. The book provides useful findings for improving the youth policy related to labour market in Europe.
