Abstract
The Turkish Constitution of 1982 stands as the most significant source. Constitutional provisions are among the foremost official sources, and above all sources of law. This nature of the Constitution stems from its Art. 11 para. 1, which reads that ‘the provisions of the Constitution are the fundamental legal rules binding upon legislative, executive and judicial organs, and administrative authorities and other institutions and individuals’.
